Boys kicking their heels and deciding the out come for the Presidential elections at the Bohemian Grove
I was born at the beginning of World War II in 1939, and was 5 or 6 years old when it finished. I can remember bits of it as experienced in my little bush town in Australia. I can remember my father listening intently on our valve radio to the war news that used to come on after the regular news. As he was a rural worker he was unable to enlist in the war. He instead belonged to the Voluntary Defence Corp, a sort of Aussie Dad's Army. I can remember him keeping his .303 rifle in the wardrobe. My elder sister tells me that my mother also had poison doses for us all if we were invaded.
I also remember my mother taking me "down town" to see the American convoys going through town. For the first time I became aware of black Americans, and can still see their broad smiles as they drove through town. The only other thing I can remember is my mother telling me she thought the war may be over because of the cheering that came from a house we passed as we walked down town.
So, I am always conscious in Europe and the U.K. of how much more those people suffered who were at the front lines of those terrible wars. I remembered driving over the Somme in France; imagining the Nazi flag flying from the Eiffel tower; and seeing the balcony of the Summer Palace in Vienna where Hitler announced to the Austrian people that they were now part of Germany.
So, a visit to the Imperial War Museum in London was a must. It is in Lambeth Road, Southwark. That building had originally been a psychiatric hospital, Bethlem Royal Hospital (otherwise known as "Bedlam"), located in St. George's Fields. And that is where the word "bedlam" originated. You just can't escape history anywhere in London. On the way to the Imperial War Museum we passed by a building that had been the home of Bligh of the Bounty, who was also one of the early Governors of the colony of New South Wales.

And this is a rather sad exhibit among so many sad exhibits. It is the motor cycle that Lawrence of Arabia was riding when he was killed.
There are many displays of various battles and wars, but the two displays that stick in my mind are of the Holocaust and the D day landing. The horrors of the Holocaust are sickening to see, and one wonders how otherwise civilised people could have descended to such depths. The observation that civilisation is but a thin veneer is illustrated there for all to see.
Probably the most poignant exhibit for me was the letter written on the morning of the D day landings by a young 20 year old soldier to his sister assuring her that he would be alright. He was killed that very day.
They covered up 9/11, they lied about Iraq's WMD's and now they are lying about Iran, the real enemy is not Iran but the enemy within Neo-Cons who so far have succesfully culturally and politically subverted this nation to do Israeli's bidding against their enemies and for the cause of NWO integration.
The mantra for war is resounding all over conservative radio and Fox propaganda networks. Salem Communications Radio network all Jewish radio talk show host are hard at work propagating for war against Iran. Most host are Israeli first, Jewish first decent and culture including Micheal Medved, Mike Gallagher, Dennis Prager, indeed Jewish elitist are permanent revolutionary chamilions, covert subversives who change their political affiliation when it's expedient to do so. This nation has being hi-jacked by Israeli first loyalist hell bent on desimating the Arab world and setting the world on fire.
I think it may make the News tonight and so it should.

The Lisbon Treaty establishes a new "European Union" with joint citizenship - an EU 'federal' State that is technically and politically empowered to centralized more power in Brussels. ( i.e. a new European Soviet run by regional government bureaucracies ala former Soviet Union ). the treaty also stipulates the militarisation of the Union in order to 'police the world' just like the U.S. does today.
The people of France and the Netherlands rejected the proposed EU constitution in the 2005 referendums. After this, other countries cancelled a promised referendum and the EU constitution was re-written as an 'emergency treaty' or a 'reform treaty' and named "Treaty of Lisbon".
On the basis of this deceit, they claim no referendums are necessary on the Lisbon Treaty. Ireland was constitutionally required to hold a referendum and on June 12, 2008 the people of Ireland gave a resounding NO! to the Lisbon Treaty. Yet this vote is not respected and is being ignored.
The EU has no mandate for further integration, 26 Member States are being denied a referendum, clearly the E.U. is a developing dictatorship where the rule of law is ignored.

History, rather than sci-fi, is where we should start looking when this idea starts to grow legs. And grow legs it will because cheap and nasty will always appeal to economic rationalists.
This particularly nasty idea has all the hallmarks of being favoured for a number of reasons. It allows folk to continue abusing the planet thoughtlessly, politicians will love a short term fix, it involves getting to use big arse guns, and the scientists get to test their theories on a real planet.
If you are thinking that scientists won’t support this patch fix then a brief look down memory lane is in order. Whether it be experimenting with live human beings like the Nazi doctors or disposing of nuclear waste in the North Sea by the English, there are always scientists who will sign up for the action. Sometimes they will have 2nd thoughts after the damage is done but youthful enthusiasm will always find ways to excuse the moral argument.
Working with the environment is a very complicated operation. Just ask the farmers who have tried the seemingly easily achievable target of seeding rain clouds. They do have some success but you need a statistician to prove the result. Also consider chemical warfare using 2 components. It’s very difficult to deliver accurately simply because of weather conditions. Even with all the computer power attached to weather prediction.
Building a climate modeling program has taken years as thousands of variables have gradually been added to the model and I’m guessing it still has a long way to go. If the model isn’t accurate then prediction is problematic.
Now we have a “quick fix” for a complex system that offers a far cheaper result if you don’t mind totally trashing the balance. Like the elegant English solution to nuclear waste, this has the unacceptable feature of being irreversible. When the problem arose of 44 gallon drums of nuclear waste splitting after a year or two submerged, they were not able to easily recover the problem drums from the North Sea. As far as I know they are still sitting at the bottom of the North Sea.
The last, and most frightening aspect about this new idea, is that the US can act unilaterally and damage everyone else on the planet. The Chinese probably fit in the same category. Large countries with the wherewithal and the arrogance to try something that might work regardless of what the World, or indeed their own people, want.
Tragically, we won’t even regard these scientists as mad until after the damage is done. Some folk will probably even be reassured by their sponsorship of the whole scheme. We have to remember that no matter how dangerous or crazy an idea is, someone will either believe it or be prepared to sign off on it for money.
Money isn’t everything. In fact it’s a pretty poor basis for deciding how to approach a problem especially if it has long term problems. If Economists only think ahead by 5 years and politicians only as far as the next election, then they are NOT the folk to be allowed to control the response to Global Warming.
